DIALOGUE ASSIGNMENT

I did my best acting both roles. Agg. The way I ended in the male version was the best I could do. I had to cover my mouth slightly and speak using a fake inner voice. I hate this assignment. =X

I dread:

Husband searched for keys and opened the door… …
Husband walking to the room… …
Switching on the light… …
WIFE: I need my sleep if you don’t need yours! Switch off the light! I still have to work tomorrow!
HUSBAND: What’s with that attitude, huh? You don’t talk to me if you continue speaking in that manner, ok?
WIFE: What’s wrong with my attitude? Oh, I guess you had the right attitude to make me wait like an idiot for you to come home for dinner!
HUSBAND: Hey, hey, what’re you trying to hint at? I didn’t ask you to wait for me and I definitely didn’t ask you to be an idiot!
WIFE: Well, then I must have turned into a total idiot myself, talking to an idiot! Switch off the light and let me sleep!
HUSBAND: Drinking a few cans of beer with my friends is not a crime! An ideal wife’s duty is to cook for her husband and… …
WIFE: And what? Who are you to tell me how to be an ideal wife? Don’t yell at me because your breath stinks of alcohol, idiot!
HUSBAND: You’re telling me not to yell at you when you are yelling at me? Your breath stinks even without alcohol, idiot. Im not switching off the light and stop calling me an idiot, you idiot!

WIFE: Switch off the light! I’m not going to continue this conversation which is getting nowhere.
HUSBAND: I’m not going to switch it off! In this house, I’m the man, I’m your husband and every thing I do is my wish, every word I say means order. Get out!
WIFE: What do you think you are doing? Put me down!!! I’m not going anywhere!
HUSBAND: Fine! Take your bolster and pillow and sleep in the living room! The lights are off!
Husband slammed door… …
Wife weeping… …
