I misplaced the script breakdown sheets and stuffs on the set so I had to re print them again, I only re-coloured the legends on the script.
In terms of post production work, I was not involved in doing anything major, I guess. Kenneth, Jasmine and Fadly spent most of their time in the NLE room, editing the footage, putting in the relevant sound effects or music and Kenneth did the ADR with the help from Khairul.
Looking at the footage or edit now, and looking back to the day where we started pre-production all the way to production, I think everyone did their best in their own individual roles to make “Inquisitive Mind”. Because the first AFP shoot, my team had to reshoot, I kept praying till the very date the fine cut was delivered that everything will go well because things can be so unpredictable, it does not mean that you finish shooting, it marks the end of everything since if touch wood, we have to shoot again for whatever reason, I need to go and get the necessary items that is needed for the shoot and make sure that I do a better time each time.
I also learned that different people work differently and when different people come together, they will also work differently as a group if I were to compare “Inquisitive Mind” to “Offside” but at the end of the day, we have to make things work, we have to do what we are supposed to do and be responsible for it, in order for everything to be accomplished. For instance, I feel that Kenneth is more visual so if I want to buy certain things, I have to take a photo of it and let him approve so that I will not buy stuffs that is not what he intended it to look like in the scene; Zane is someone who will not ask you to do this and that such as adjusting the tripod, he could ask someone to do it but he did it himself, one hand holding the camera, one hand trying to adjust, and I will go forward and help him, etc. I think that observing is very important especially working in a team of people you are not so familiar with because then you will know how and when to help each other out.
As an art director, I think I contributed more in the pre-production aspect, a little lesser in the production aspect and almost none at all in the post-production.
